A Few Thoughts on Reflection and Hitting the Glass…again!

{Transferred from His Beautiful Truths}

The poor little Downy woodpecker crashed into the window, hitting the glass again!

Downy again (c)

While I have no idea if this is the same little fella from last month ,
it certainly raises a few thoughts…

How many times do I find myself dealing with the same situations or issues over and over?  More than I would like!
I’m thinking this is true for most.

Yesterday he hit the large picture window which is right next to the sliding glass door that caught him previously.  While it wasn’t the exact same hurdle, he still thought he could see and fly through it.  He was aiming for what was on the other side of the glass or even the reflection of the woods behind him.

Think on this for a moment. How often do we vow to move forward, yet keep looking back?  In some instances we don’t even realize we’re stuck in the reflection

Reflecting can grow our Spirits in Truth.  We must keep mind of our focus though, paying attention to the blessings and growth.

If we stay too long in the hurts and the challenges…
…we’ll miss the current moment or the present.

Hitting the glass again {the same trials} can leave us dazed and trying to understand.

Whether or not the Downy saw the reflection of the woods or was attempting to soar ahead…  he was flying his path.

This time, he wasn’t knocked unconscious, just stunned.
As my youngest held him in her hands and gently brushed the back of his neck with her thumb, he relaxed in her hands and really enjoyed the attention.

The same can be true for us…
When we find ourselves dealing with the same heart aches, hurdles, challenges…
There is something more there for us to learn.
Thankfully, the Teacher is always present…
…just a breath, a thought, a prayer away.

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,
2 Timothy 3:16

Tomorrow I’ll share six Beautiful Truths for when we’re challenged with our own altered flight paths.  Hopefully our destination includes a closer relationship, a better understanding in Christ.

The Lord wants us to relax and begin to enjoy the attention the He is actually offering each of us.
“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.  So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.”
Matthew 6:33-34 (Also read Matthew 6:25-34)

Looking for His reflection in our life, seeking His Light to offer a clearer picture is just the beginning.
